Universal School Fathers Club · Bridgeview, IL

Fathers of the Universal Stars.

We fund student grants, help pack key game nights, and invite fathers to show up when they can — for our kids, every month.

A father-led culture of servant leadership — read our mission and core values.

Every number here is verified: the grants pool is owner-confirmed, meeting dates come from the school's public calendar, the board seat is written into the 2026-27 Parent Handbook, and each partner organization was checked individually.

What we do

Built around showing up.

Four programs, one job: put fathers where the school and the students can count on them.

Stars Grants

A named $2,500 pool funds student-led projects, team needs, club gear, and competition fees — owner-verified for 2026-27. Any current Universal student or student team can pitch: bring the idea to a monthly meeting and the club decides.

First cycle announced at the November 10 meeting.

Pack the Gym

We publish verified game dates and call out marquee nights worth filling the UniPlex for. Boys soccer just closed the regular run 6-1 overall and 4-0 in conference (per MaxPreps) — we aim to match that energy in the stands.

Join us for key games when you can. Attendance raffles, when the club runs them, are announced at meetings.

Dads on Deck

Service is an NHS pillar, and Illinois requires service learning in the high school civics course (105 ILCS 5/27-605). We aim to organize supervised crews of fathers and students with 14 verified partner organizations, from the Mosque Foundation pantry to the Greater Chicago Food Depository.

Signed shift sheets go into the club's own ledger — useful for NHS chapters and applications when those programs accept them; each chapter sets its own rules, and hours are never guaranteed.

Paradigm Parenting

One cited field note a month for fathers: what the research actually says about showing up — Jeynes's meta-analyses, Sarkadi's systematic review — no clinical labels, dignity over shame, one action per piece.

Student Council

Alumni network

A Student Council initiative — separate from Fathers Club membership.

One of the Student Council’s goals this year is to build a network of past Universal School students for the betterment of our present Universal School students. Together, we can build a brighter future for our school community, inshallah.
